SunKat is donating every dollar of every iTunes download of their single "Hey JoJo" to The ARC to aid it's support of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for a year, starting November 9, 2018.
“Hey Jo Jo” is a song we wrote about Katie’s sister, Joanne, who passed away in March of 2018. Joanne was a very special person, and anyone lucky enough to meet her, would tell you she had a smile that could light up a room. Joanne had an intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) but it did not stop her achieving her goals. We want to help other people, like Joanne, live their best life, so we are proud to partner with The ARC.
We hope you love the song as much as we loved writing and recording it. We would also be honored if you would help us spread the word. Our biggest hope, aside from raising money for The Arc, is that it will touch the lives of others living with an IDD, and those caring for someone with an IDD.
SunKat is an Americana/Country Duo. Katie Cook, former front woman for the band Reno and a face of CMT television, and Adam Shoenfeld, renowned studio musician and songwriter, come together personally and musically.
COME SEE US LIVE!!
We fell in love. We made music.
We still reside in, and both spent our formative years in Nashville, TN. Katie came to Nashville as a child with her family and under the wings of her musical father, and Adam moved to Nashville as a teenager.
Where there is darkness, there is soon to be light. We lifted each other up and when we sang together, it took us even higher.
